The Service
ChemStitch is a browser-based chemical structure editor with AI-assisted features. New accounts start with a free 14-day trial. After the trial, you can subscribe to the paid Standard plan, or use the free Student plan if you verify an academic institution email. Features may change as we develop the product based on your feedback.
Billing & Cancellation
Plans and prices
On the date above, Standard costs $19 per month or $190 per year, and $9 per month or $90 per year for verified academic users. Prices are in US dollars. The current prices are on our pricing page, and the price you pay, including any discount, is shown at checkout and on your receipt. Payments are handled by our payment processor. We do not store your card details.
Free trial
The 14-day trial does not need a payment card. It does not turn into a paid subscription on its own, so you are never charged when it ends. To keep using AI features after the trial, choose a plan on the pricing page.
Renewal
A Standard subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, monthly or yearly depending on the plan you chose, and the renewal is charged to your saved payment method. If we change the price, the new price applies from your next renewal, never partway through a period you have already paid for.
Cancellation
Cancel any time in Settings → Manage subscription. If that page can't open, email hello@chemstitch.ai and we'll cancel for you. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period: you keep access until then and you won't be charged again.
Refunds
Payments are non-refundable, and we do not refund the unused part of a billing period when you cancel, except where the law requires it. If you think you were charged in error, email hello@chemstitch.ai and we will look into it. If the charge was a mistake, we will refund it.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, we retry it for a limited period, and you keep access while we do. You can update your card in Settings → Manage subscription. If the payment still cannot be collected, the subscription ends. Your drawings, documents, import/export and structure computations stay available, but AI features are no longer included until you subscribe again.
Your Content
You retain ownership of all chemical structures, documents, and other content you create in ChemStitch. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.
AI Predictions
ChemStitch provides AI-assisted predictions for molecular properties, reactions, and retrosynthesis. These predictions are suggestions and should be verified experimentally before any real-world application. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated content.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use ChemStitch for lawful purposes only. You will not attempt to reverse-engineer the service, interfere with other users, or use the service to violate any applicable laws or regulations.
Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@chemstitch.ai. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Limitation of Liability
ChemStitch is provided “as is”. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of the service, including but not limited to reliance on AI predictions for experimental or commercial decisions.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms as ChemStitch evolves. We will notify users of material changes via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
